Louis Vuitton 2010 FIFA World Cup Trophy Travel Case
Yep you read it right, what more does the most coveted trophy in the world need when being presented to this years 2010 FIFA World Cup winners, some style of course.
FIFA commissioned Louis Vuitton to create a special order travel case for the 18-carat gold trophy. Handmade by a single master craftsman in Louis Vuitton’s historic Asnières workshop near Paris, the case has been meticulously designed with the company’s iconic monogram canvas, signature brass lock and corners, and a dark brown lining. The case opens at the front and at the top to allow the Trophy to be removed easily when it will be presented on July 11th at Johannesburg.
‘The FIFA World Cup Trophy is our most precious asset. It’s the most coveted trophy, not only in the world of football but beyond. It succeeds in uniting fans all around the world in a healthy competition for the final prize. A trophy as precious as the FIFA World Cup Trophy deserves a travel case of the same elegance and prestige. From now on, the trophy will not only travel in safety, but it will also travel in style.’
Check out the images below for an in depth look at how the case was crafted.
Supreme Sunglasses Spring/Summer ’10
Damn today was hot… But i guess being in the UK and all we won’t be having it for much longer. Can’t Summer already be here and stay, rather then teasing us every couple of days with a little peek here and there.
Anyway, as part of Supreme’s Spring/Summer collection they’ve released two designs from their sunglasses line, the Locs and the Dekker. My favourite the Locs comes in two colourways: Black & Tortoise, while the Dekker in three: Black, Red & Tortoise. Both designs are hand crafted in Japan with impact resistant lenses that provide 100% UV protection. The sunglasses are available in Supreme stockists now and through their website priced at $138, check the line-up below.
Hella Tight Snapbacks & Fitteds
Just before Christmas i noticed that my favourite grey snap back cap had lost it’s shape (actual cause unknown, but some say alcohol and certain acts of misdemeanor played a part in it’s demise), so i thought i’d get a new one. After a couple failed shopping attempts i came across Hella Tight, whose wide selection of caps lead me to the Calavera fitted & Land of the Kings Snapback.
Now i’m not the biggest fan in fitteds, as i my head always seems to be between sizes, but i’d thought i’d give this one a go just because of the detail in material they choose for there caps. The Calavera fitted is made fom 100% grey wool with an embroided candy skull on the front & the Hella Tight logo embroided in pink on the back. What stood out for me though was the under bill made from yellow satin & a yellow leather top button. The Land of the Kings Snapback is a collaboration between Hella Tight and U-N-I (till this day i still have ‘Beautiful Day’ on rotation, just love it) and boasts the iconic LA Lakers colours of purple & yellow. The snapback is yellow along with yellow satin for the under bill and top button & the front portion of the cap is somewhat narrower than the Calavera cap.
I originally bought both caps direct from Hella Tight but the Calavera is no longer on their site. A limited size is still available at CraniumFitteds.
If you do decide to go direct at Hella Tight not only will you be getting your hands on the highest quality headwear possiblet at now either $15 or $25, but $10 from every purchase made on Hella Tight until Sunday 15th February will be donated to the Haiti Reilef Fund. Check below for a close up on the caps.
Toy Me now @ Topman Oxford Circus
Toy me is one of my favourite jewellery brands and found it quite hard to get my hands on them back in the day. The only place I could remember was on the Triads website. If you didn’t know, Toy me is an Über cool brand from Italy and has seen their master-pieces grace the necks of the Dim Mak’s very own Steve Aoki, Uffie, Soul Wax & Bloc Party.
Apart from their close links to music, Toy me have taken everyday objects and converted them into so really unique pieces of mens jewellery. For example: a pair of scissors bent into a bracelet and a zipper on the end of a neck chain.
Mens jewellery is going to be very big this summer and this is mostly due to “The Rise of Plunging Neckline Tees”. A nice neck-piece will add an extra little something to the deep v-neck or a scoop neck tee. Toy me will definitely answer all your prayers and will be able to offer you something different from Joe bloggs’ oil slicked side parting and his worn out Lyle & Scott polo.
Anyway, lets get to the bottom line, Moses says “Go to Topman Oxford circus because Toy me have perched themselves very nicely on the first floor in the Accessories section!”. As I have said, You’ll find some really nice pieces there and they don’t cost you the earth too!
Go check out Toy me to fall further in love and check out some pics below!

From Fragrances to Watches – The Issey Miyake Watch Collection
Issey Miyake watches are another thing I have had my eye on for well over a year now. Since then, their watch collection has got a lot bigger with a wide variety of watches that are now available. However, there are 3 watches from the collection that I particularly lurve!
The Trapezoid was the first Issey Miyake watch that I had seen. The overall shape of the watch is the most striking feature to me. Even though it has these Manly gimmicks that a man apparently needs but never uses in a watch e.g: chronograph, Rotating Bezel, etc. The Trapezoid doesn’t have the typical shape of a watch that would have those features. The Bezel is very slim and steep and i have got to say, this looks ruddy beautiful! The Trapezoid comes in a range of colours and would be an ideal Christmas present if you are still stuck for ideas (And a bit of cash to spare…)
The TO Collection is a lot slimmer looking compared to the Trapezoid and it comes with less features (No bezel and no chronograph) but the dials are the main feature. I am going to go all geeky here but the dials are genius and it doesn’t take a lot of getting use to unlike a Nooka watch (Nooka’s are cool too! Just a bit tricky!).
Lastly, there’s the newer Twelve 365 which is has been designed by Naoto Fukasawa and is just as individual as the other two models. It has a 12 sided face (Yes, a Dodecagon) with minimal detail but I have to say my favourite is the brown leather strap version because it just has that classic twist to it.

Breath of Fresh Air vol 4. – Ambush POW! & Beeeeethoven Series
Ambush was a bit of an accidental discovery when i visited the Silly Thing store in Chai Wan. This Exclusive brand has been graced by the likes of Kanye West, Fergie from the Black Eyed Peas, Verbal from the Teriyaki boys. Ambush has definitely made a impact on the International Fashion Scene.
I love the “Pow” ring which is now in it’s 3rd season and has a forthcoming collaboration with Silly Thing. There is also the awesome “Beeeeethoven” series and both the Pow and Beeeeethoven come a great range of bold colours. Anyway, just check out the pictures below and also their store or this one. Enjoy!
