Now, we are not going to make a habit of featuring ‘gadgety’ stuff on the website but we felt that this one deserved a mention. Known simply as ‘Cool Guy’, this unique application allows you to categorize your whole wardrobe in the palm of your hand.

The main premise behind the app is that you take pictures (using your iPhone of course) of each item in your wardrobe, the app then categorizes your clothes allowing you to browse through what you have with ease. No more ploughing through your draws/wardrobe in a mad dash before your night out. It even has a ‘cool’ feature that allows you to create an outfit, saving you the hassle of trying things on to see how they look, instead you can just have a little test run on your iPhone whilst bored in the office. Good times!

Another interseting feature is the ‘suitcase’ function which allows you to go through your wardrobe picking out specific items that you’d like to pack and placing them in the ‘suitcase’ allowing you to go through it before you leave making sure you have actually packed everything that you wanted to take with you on your trip away.

All in all the application does live up to it’s ‘cool’ name, if you can be bothered with the trouble of capturing images for each item of clothing you own then i can definitly see how this app would come in handy. Peckham Rye Reversible Scarves

 As well as being a London train station, Peckham Rye is cockney rhyming slang for tie and also the name of a burgeoning British neckwear brand, with David Beckham and Mark Ronson both spotted sporting its wares.

Vivienne Westwood Double V-Neck Knit

Now i know that last weeks ‘Must Have’ also featured a piece by Vivienne Westwood but hey she’s churning out some top quality pieces so we’ve got another one for you this week. Habitually pushing the boundaries of fashinon Vivienne Westwood has created this lovely Double V-Neck Knitwear jumper.

It is made from 100% wool so it has a real top quality feel to it. Along with this is come in what they describe as a ‘contemporary’ fit, meaning that it’s not exactly a tailored fit, the arms are kinda twisted and loose whilst the torso is more fitted. Quite strange but it simpy adds to the originality of the piece. Inevitably it’s quite costly at £170 but again it’s not something you will see everyone wearing, the price we pay to be unique! Vivienne Westwood Shawl Collar Pullover

The recent trend for shawl collars has been seen across many brands including Ralph Lauren, Missoni and Lacoste on catwalks around the globe and is a practical feature that’s here to stay.  

The example for this week’s Must Have is from Vivienne Westwood; the Collegiate Shawl Collar Pullover comes in pricey at £320, but is a beautiful piece to complement any wardrobe and to help keep you warm in the winter months!  It features two large buttons to make use of the shawl element and keep your neck warm when outside and unbuttoned for when you need to cool down a little.

So, after looking you realise that the t-shirt you had in mind has been chewed-through by invisible moths/hamsters/siblings and perhaps it’s time to invest in a new one (or a few) to spruce up your wardrobe – here are our picks for your perusal.

Topman Grey Marl Crew Neck

First off, we have the All Saints Chatchi High Crew T which features a contemporary low neckline and discreet darts stitched outwards diagonally from the neck to provide the fit that has become synonymous with the brand.  This is currently on sale for £24 (reduced from £30) available from All Saints directly in their online store.

For the more frugal amongst you, the Topman Grey Marl Crew Neck may hit the spot with a very slim fit and offers incredible value at £6 individually, or 2 for £10.  This is probably one of the best known deals on the high street and extends to their equally excellent value baseball tees.

Our bargain basement find of the week though, has to be the New Look Grey Crew Neck which provides a slightly more comfortable, looser fit than the Topman version and is priced at an astonishing £4.  I came across these whilst wandering around the new Westfield Shopping Centre in West London (so you can find these here as well as online).  It’s worth noting that they also stock a very well-fitting deep v-neck tee too with a chest pocket and sleeve strap detailing for the same price.

There are a vast array of mens boxer short brands on the market, the most well known and popular are the Calvin Kleins. Within the brand CK make around 10-12 different types of boxer shorts, these are by far the best of the lot. They fit perfectly around the waist, legs and crotch area whilst providing adequate support for even the most well equipped of our species. What stands out the most for me is their amazing ability to hold their shape after being worn all day and after many washes. They now come in a plethora of colours as if CK are attempting to imitate the rainbow. The most common are white or black (shown above) with a red band but they come with gold, silver, green and blue bands to name but a few. They normally retail for £18 a pair but we at Stylenerds aim to please so we will let you in on a secret. If you dont mind getting the white/black with red band then check out eBay, you can normally pick up 3 pairs for £12, and yes they are real and come in proper packaging and everything making this weeks ‘Must Have’ easily affordable.

All Saints are renown for their more edgy designs and often come out with many unique pieces. This one is a bit more subtle, but I believe that is what adds to its charm. It fits like a dream for any shaped body and amazingly never seems to lose its shape, you can roll the sleeves up, pull it, stretch it etc and it always seems to fit like a glove. It comes in the grey (below), black and a sort of off white. Nice detailing on the back finishes off a top that looks great on its own or layered with a t-shirt. It’ll cost you £65 but I promise you it’s worth it.
